Vladimir Putin awarded Bashkortostan deputy "For Merit to Fatherland" medal

UFA, 5 October 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. The State Duma deputy of the seventh convocation Zugura Rakhmatullina was awarded the medal "For Merit to the Fatherland" of the II degree. The ceremony took place the day before. The Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the decree on awarding on August 26.
"My work in the State Duma of the seventh convocation starts with pleasant events: the Administration of the President of the country solemnly handed me over the state award - the medal "For Merit to the Fatherland" of the II degree", said the MP.
This is the second convocation of Duma where Zugura Rakhmatullina will work. In the previous convocation, the parliamentarian from Bashkortostan was the Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Culture and was among the initiators of 105 bills.
The "For Merit to the Fatherland" medal was established by the Presidential Decree on March 2, 1994. It is awarded to citizens for outstanding achievements related to the development of the Russian statehood, achievements in work and strengthening of peace, friendship and cooperation between nations, for significant contribution to the protection of our Fatherland.
