Educational process in schools should be held disregarding politics - Konstantin Tolkachev

UFA, 5 October 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Arina Rakhimkulova/. There should be no politics at schools. This was stated by the Chairman of the State Assembly of Bashkortostan Konstantin Tolkachev. The republican parliament develops a draft law banning politicization of minors. It regards restricting the rights of children to create political organizations.
As explained by the press service of the State Assembly, under current legislation, a child under 14 years may not be fully aware of the aims and objectives of a political party, to independently form his own political beliefs. Any impact on children in order to inculcate certain beliefs is interference with the constitutionally established rights and duties of parents in his upbringing.
"The educational process in schools should be held disregarding politics,” said Konstantin Tolkachev. "The main purpose of children in this age is not to protect a variety of leaders, not to be subjects of zombieing and brainwashing, but to gain knowledge. The core of the educational process should be patriotism. Over the years, everyone will be able to realize the advantages of this or that ideology, to form their own political opinion, civil stance and make their conscious choice".
