New Republican Psychotherapy Centre will appear in Bashkiria

UFA, 30 September 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Arina Rakhimkulova/. In Bashkortostan a Psychotherapy Centre opens. This decision was made by the Government of the Republic. It was announced by the chief doctor of the Republican Clinical Psychotherapy Centre Ilgiz Timerbulatov during the round table "On Implementation of Measures to Prevent Suicide among Children and Adolescents" in the State Assembly RB.

The initiative to open a new centre was included in the project "100 Facilities - to the 100th Anniversary of Bashkortostan". Commissioning of the crisis hospital is scheduled for the first quarter 2018. The emergence of such a facility should help reducing the number of suicides in the region.

"In Bashkortostan there is the only in Russia psychotherapeutic service, which includes eight inter-municipal centres throughout the region. All of them include outpatient rooms, day patient facilities and hospitals. In most cases treatment is rendered free of charge there. This three-tier system is unique for Russia", underlined Ilgiz Timerbulatov.

According to the speaker, in Bashkortostan a new program of suicide prevention has already been developed. At the moment it passes the necessary approvals in the relevant departments.
