Bashkir United Russia members approved Ufa City Council chairman

UFA, 26 September 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Alim Faizov/. The regional branch of United Russia party at today’s conference proposed Valery Trofimov, the 57-year-old director of "Energoengineering" company, with previous experience of parliamentary work in 2008 for the post of the Speaker of the Ufa City Council, the "RBC-Ufa" website reports .

Valery Trofimov graduated from the Ufa Aviation Institute majoring in Industrial Electronics. After military service he was employed at the "Electroapparat" plant, since 2000 – the CEO of the the enterprise.

His single opponent at the internal party voting was the vice-president of the republican branch of the Russian Union of Martial Arts Alexander Sosnin.

The first meeting of the new City Council will be held on Tuesday, September 27. In addition to the election of the new chairman, the deputies will approve a structure and bodies of the Council, will form a permanent committee and presidium.
