47 candidates reached finish of Duma campaign in Bashkortostan - Khaidar Valeev

UFA, 15 September 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. In Bashkortostan 47 candidates will fight for seats in the State Duma in six single-member constituencies, all of them are nominated by political parties. This was told by the Head of the Central Election Commission of the Republic Khaidar Valeev at a press conference in Bashinform News Agency.
Of the 52 registered candidates, four ceased participation in the election campaign upon personal applications - one in connection with the death.
The elections to the State Duma will be held according to a mixed system: 225 deputies will be elected from party lists, 225 - in single-member constituencies. In Bashkortostan, 50 candidates are registered for six single-mandate constituencies in the elections of the State Duma deputies. Eight to nine people will compete for one seat.
The parliamentary elections involve 14 political parties. This is two times more than at the elections of 2011. All parties have regional groups of deputies in Bashkortostan. They were registered without collection of signatures due to a parliamentary benefit, while five years ago there were four such parties, and the three parties had to collect signatures.
