Konstantin Tolkachev will represent Russia in Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of Europe

UFA, 27 July 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Arina Rakhimkulova/. The Chairman of the State Assembly of Bashkortostan Konstantin Tolkachev will represent Russia at the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe during 2016-2020. The corresponding instruction was signed by Vladimir Putin on July 21.

The republican Speaker is included in the House of Regions of the Congress. In addition, the delegation will presented in the Chamber of Local Authorities. A total of 36 people will represent Russia at the Congress, the press service of the State Assembly RB informs.

The structure of the delegation to attend the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of Europe is formed by the member states every four years. The aim of the Council of Europe is to achieve a greater unity between its members for the purpose of safeguarding and realizing the ideals and principles which are their common heritage and facilitating their economic and social progress.

The structure of the Chamber of Regions of the Congress also included the Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Federal Structure, Regional Policy, Local Government and Affairs for North Dmitry Azarov, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Science, Education and Culture Zinaida Dragunkina, the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Omsk region Vladimir Varnavsky, the first deputy chairman of the Federation Council for Regulations and Parliamentary Activity Svetlana Goryacheva, Governors of Leningrad, Vladimir, Smolensk regions, representatives of Karachay-Cherkessia Republic.
