Senator Liliya Gumerova: "Decree signing on Bashkiria’s 100th anniversary celebration - a great victory of our republic"

Signing by the Russian President a Decree on holding in 2019 the 100th anniversary of Bashkiria's formation is a great holiday and a victory for all the people of our republic. This view is shared by the First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee for Science, Education and Culture, the Senator from Bashkortostan Liliya Gumerova.

"The signing of the Decree was preceded by an extensive preparatory work. Just over three years ago the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov, on behalf of the multinational peoples of the republic addressed to the President of Russia with a request to hold commemorative events,” said Liliya Gumerova. “This issue was deeply and long enough examined in the Russian Government, and the initiative was supported and the Decree on celebration of the 100th anniversary of Bashkortostan was signed. Of course, the Decree itself and the event that will take place in 2019 will be an important historical landmark in the history of Bashkortostan and Russia".

As the senator stressed that the republic reached the anniversary with great achievements in economy, science and culture.

"In recent years our republic has become a point of attraction and a venue for the nationwide and international events. All this is a result of hard work. Celebrating the anniversary, we will prepare to the new projects, scientific and technological achievements. It is not accidentally that Bashkortostan’s experience in many industries is now exemplified, studied and applied in other regions of Russia", Liliya Gumerova said.
