22 parties remained in election race for State Duma deputies

UFA, 14 July 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. The list of the parties that may participate in the elections in September is defined. Following the results of the list approval campaign 22 parties can take part in the elections, according to TASS.

Pre-election conventions for nomination of candidates were held by 24 parties out of 74 eligible to take part in the elections. 23 parties submitted the documents for lists approval to the CEC, but the party of social reforms fell out of the race due to violations at the candidates’ nomination. The party "The People Against Corruption" has decided not to apply.

All 14 parties that have parliamentary privilege are among the parties submitted the documents to the CEC. The law exempts them from collecting voters’ signatures for registration as members of the elections.
