UFA, 1 July 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. Vladimir Putin signed the Executive Order on Amendments to Executive Order No. 583 from November 28, 2015 "On Measures to Ensure the National Security of the Russian Federation and on the Protection of Citizens of the Russian Federation against Criminal and Other Illegal Acts and on the Application of Special Economic Measures Against the Turkish Republic". This was reported on the official website of the President.
The document repeals "the clause 4 that sets restrictions on tour operators and tour agents from selling to Russian citizens tour packages involving visits to Turkey."
Vladimir Putin instructed the Government of Russia «to take measures to abolish the ban on charter flights between Russia and Turkey», and «to hold talks with the Turkish government on foreign economic relations between Russia and Turkey».
Depending on the talks' outcome the Russian Government is instructed "to make proposals on amending the period of effect or the nature of special economic and other measures set out in Executive Order No. 583 of November 28, 2015" and "bring its acts into compliance with this Executive Order".
As previously reported, the press secretary of the Russian Union of Travel Industry Irina Tyurina considers that "Turkey hotels now will queue up for the Russian tour operators to restore cooperation with them". In her opinion, Turkey has lost most of the tourist traffic from their main markets - Russia and Germany, and therefore the prices of the first tours will be low.
