Vyacheslav Pyatkov: "Bashkortostan developed immunity against radicalism"

Bashkortostan today is a unique entity, where more than 4 million people live with different languages, ethnicities, cultures, types of religion. This is a powerful entity. The religious situation is stable here; it does not cause any threats. This was told in an interview with Bashinform News Agency by the leader of State-Confessional Relations Council under the Head of Bashkortostan Vyacheslav Pyatkov.

Vyacheslav Pyatkov urged the media to highlight the key points correctly while interpreting statements about the religious situation in the republic.

"I do not want to sugarcoat the situation and say that we do not have the Salaphites, do not have people with different Muslim radical views or with some other ideologies. Yes, we do, but in small quantities, as in any other republic", said Pyatkov Pyatkov.

"In Bashkortostan comfortable environment for people regardless of religion are provided,” said the head of the Council. “But most importantly that the republican leadership conveys equal relation to all religions, whether it is Muslim, Christian or Protestant".
