Bashkortostan has begun preparations for World Folkloriad 2020

Bashkortostan has begun preparations for the World Folkloriad 2020, taking into account a positive experience of the international forums and summits. This was told by the head of the Assembly of Peoples of Bashkortostan Zugura Rakhmatullina at the enlarged meeting of the Council Presidium of the Assembly of Peoples of Russia, which was held at the Plenipotentiary Representative Office of Bashkortostan under the President of Russia. The parliamentarian marked the organization's role in strengthening the dialogue between cultures in a multicultural society.

At the meeting organizational issues were discussed, aimed at promoting the Assembly’s activities and its regional offices, the structure of the Scientific Expert Council and possibilities of creating such councils in regional organizations were approved.

The Assembly of Peoples of Russia is actively working on harmonization of interethnic relations in the country, and within the framework of the meeting nominees for the Russian Federation President's Award "For Contribution to the Russian Nation Unity" for 2016 from among the Assembly members of the Council were discussed.

Also, the organizational issues of the next "Congress of the Peoples of Russia" were on the agenda. It will be held in Nizhny Novgorod and is a multinational platform to discuss topical issues of ethno-cultural development of many peoples of Russia.
