Rustem Khamitov delivered a report at 5th Russian-Kyrgyz inter-regional conference

On June 2, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov delivered a report at the plenary session of the 5th Russian-Kyrgyz inter-regional conference "Inter-Regional Relations Development in the Context of Eurasian Integration Process" at the Ufa Congress Hall.
The conference is held in Ufa on the initiative of the republican leader who proposed to hold it in the capital of Bashkortostan speaking at the previous forum in Bishkek.
According to the Head of the Republic the Russian-Kyrgyz economic ties are expanding, primarily due to regional activity. The share of Bashkortostan in the Russian export to Kyrgyzstan amounted to 8 to 15 percent over the years.
Rustem Khamitov particularly marked the Ufa Scientific and Innovation Enterprise "BashInkom" successfully entering the new Kyrgyz market. It produces innovative, environmentally friendly products for crop and livestock production. Our republic is ready to supply to Kyrgyzstan power units for hydroelectric power plants, to be involved in "Gazprom" projects, to work jointly in the framework of the SCO Energy Club. Among other promising areas there are sale of breeding cattle, organization of a service breeding centre in Kyrgyzstan, horse breeding development.
To improve the efficiency of work in the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, the Head of the Republic offered to involve new development institutions, which had already proved their effectiveness in providing access to financial resources, rendering non-financial forms of support.
At the end of 2015 the trade turnover between Bashkortostan and Kyrgyzstan amounted to 48.4 million dollars, including export - US $ 48 million and imports - US $ 0.4 million. The Kyrgyz Republic takes the 26th place in the total volume of foreign trade turnover of Bashkortostan with a relative share of 0.6 percent. Bashkortostan supplies to Kyrgyzstan oil products (87.4 percent of total exports), as well as chemical products, wood, metal and food industry; Kyrgyzstan exports bulbs to Bashkortostan.
There are four companies with Kyrgyz capital engaged in wholesale trade and transportation organizations in the territory of our republic.
