UFA, 3 June 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. The minimum wage will amount to 7500 rubles since July 1, 2016. The Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on raising the minimum wage. The corresponding document was published on the official portal of legal information.
The minimum wage increase will affect about 1 million working people: 87 percent of them are employed in the state and municipal institutions, and 13 percent - in the private sector.
The last time the minimum wage was increased by 4 percent on January 1, 2016 and amounted to 6204 rubles. The law was adopted by the State Duma on May 17 and approved by the Federation Council on May 25.
