Rustem Khamitov delivered a speech at the opening of Youth Conference on Intellectual Property

On April 18, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov delivered a speech at the opening of the All-Russian Youth Scientific and Practical Conference "Regional Programs and Projects in the Field of Intellectual Property through the Eyes of Young People" at the Ufa Congress Hall.

The Head of the Republic noted that 200 years ago a rapid development of techniques and technologies had begun and our country took its rightful place in the process. Today, young scientists are facing the task of breakthrough research and discovery in the field of astronautics, biology, engineering sciences.

Before the meeting, the Head of the Republic visited an exhibition of youth scientific and technical projects, which showed elaborations of pupils and students of Bashkortostan universities, as well as the research and production association "Aviation Technologies Technopark" at PJSC "Ufa Engine Industrial Association" (UMPO).

The All-Russian Youth Scientific and Practical Conference is held in Ufa in the framework of the 9th International Forum "Intellectual Property – 21st Century". Its aim is to support children's and youth's creativity focusing on the economy needs.

The conference is held for the third time. In 2014 and 2015 it was held at the Federation Council of Russia. Its participants are schoolchildren, students, young scientists and inventors between the ages of 14 to 30 years, who registered their patents on inventions or applied to them, as well as with publications in scientific journals. Total 262 projects from 29 regions of Russia were submitted. The conference was also attended by the representatives of China and Kazakhstan.
