Rustem Khamitov has met with Executive Secretary of Russian Federation Commission for UNESCO Affairs Grigory Ordzhonikidze

On March 24, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov met with the Executive Secretary of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs RF Grigory Ordzhonikidze. The meeting was also attended by the President of the International Academy for Human Sciences, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Alexandra Ochirova and Chairman of the Coordination Committee of UNESCO Chairs of Russia Vladimir Egorov.

The issues of implementation of joint projects in the territory of our republic, including a creation of the first Geopark in Russia were discussed.

Grigory Ordzhonikidze told the Head of the Republic about holding a meeting of the Coordination Committee of UNESCO Chairs at Bashkir State Pedagogical University. Six applications from universities of Russia were considered regarding creation of UNESCO Chairs at them. Applications of Ufa State Aviation Technical University and Ufa State Petroleum Technological University were also submitted.

In addition, organizational issues of the "Intercultural Dialogue in the Eurasian Space" scientific conference to be held in the framework of the "Heart of Eurasia" festival were discussed. It is planned to invite for participation the Secretary-Generals for UNESCO affairs in the countries of Eurasia.
