Rustem Khamitov has met with Head of Higher School of Health Care Organization and Management Guzel Ulumbekova

The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov in the House of the Republic met with the Head of the Higher School of Health Care Organization and Management (VSHOUZ) Guzel Ulumbekova. Issues of Bashkortostan health care system development were discussed at the meeting.

“We have a lot of questions in terms of analytical work organization in order to assess the situation. There are not enough experts in this part”, Rustem Khamitov said. “We have a number of problems inherited from previous times. In particular, these are low life expectancy and high mortality. We do not fully gained insight into the reasons. We would like to understand whether the system of collecting information, evaluation of the situation is properly organized. In short, we have a lot of questions.”

Guzel Ulumbekova reported that the rating of the health systems effectiveness in subjects of the Volga Federal District in 2014 had been prepared. According to this document, Bashkortostan improved its performance, rising by several points in comparison with 2013.

In an interview with journalists the Head of VSHOUZ marked that the Head of the Republic had instructed her to prepare a strategy for health system development based on scientific analysis and analytical data by all regions and urban districts of Bashkortostan.
