Valentina Matviyenko: "Ufa is very seriously preparing for the All-Russian Conference on Intellectual Property"

UFA, 2 March 2016. /Bashinform News Agency,Galiya Nabieva/. The Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko at a meeting of the Intellectual Property Council under the Federation Council noted that Ufa was very seriously preparing for the All-Russian Youth Scientific and Practical Conference on Intellectual Property, which is scheduled for April 18-19, 2016.

The meeting was attended by Senator RB Liliya Gumerova, the deputy chairman of the Intellectual Property Council. The MP noted that in Ufa and Moscow the meetings of the organizing committee on preparation and holding of the conference were held.

According to Liliya Gumerova, currently only 1.5 percent of developments by Russian scientists are implemented in practice. The main problem remains a gap between developments and actual needs of the economy, the parliamentarian said.

Valentina Matviyenko noted the importance of supporting young people in their creative endeavours, and asked all members of the Intellectual Property Council to be actively involved in the preparation and holding of the conference in Ufa.

The conference will take place in Ufa on April 18-19, this year in the framework of the 9th International Forum "Intellectual Property – 21st Century". Large enterprises and organizations are supposed to take part in it - Rosnano, Russian aircraft manufacturer, Russian Railways, "Skolkovo", industrial enterprises operating in oil and gas fields as well as in the spheres of education and medicine, Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov.
