Legislative initiative of Bashkiria parliamentarians received support of Vladimir Putin

UFA, 18 February 2016. /Bashinform News Agency, Arina Rakhimkulova/. The Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a draft bill submitted by the State Assembly of Bashkortostan on Amendments to the Federal Law "On Combating Corruption". The bill shall enter into force on February 26, 2016.
In the previous version bans and restrictions applied to the federal and regional civil servants were different. In general, their rights and duties coincided, but federal officials had a column "other", which could include additional restrictions. The legislative initiative of the Bashkir parliament provides for the introduction of such column and for regional civil servants. Thus, the discrepancies are eliminated, and the requirements for federal and regional officials become unified.
"It is gratifying that our proposals are supported. The adoption of the Federal Law is to establish a legal framework for improving the efficiency of anti-corruption activity. Amendments do not in any way violate the rights and freedoms of man and citizen; comply with all the constitutional norms. We understand that the prohibitions and restrictions provided for persons performing tasks of national importance are set forth not only in the Federal Law "On Combating Corruption". There are certain rules for officials of different levels stated in a number of laws both of federal and regional levels", said the Chairman of the State Assembly RB Konstantin Tolkachev.
