Rustem Khamitov has met with Jiangxi Province delegation

On November 5, at the House of the Republic the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov met with the delegation of Jiangxi Province of People's Republic of China, headed by the Governor Lu Xinsheng. The sides discussed prospects for strengthening inter-regional cooperation and implementation of joint projects in various sectors of the economy.

“The Days of Culture and Business are a great opportunity to get to know each other better, to expand and strengthen our business and humanitarian ties”, said Rustem Khamitov. “Our relations are developing. The work is going on under the project on establishing a Chinese-Russian International Trade Centre. This work is conducted by the company "Chung Gye". The International Business Centre will be built. We have good progress with the Jiangxi Copper Corporation. There are also other projects that will undoubtedly be implemented in our republic.”

“This time more than 170 entrepreneurs arrived here with me. Their goal is basing on the framework created by our governments to find ways of cooperation with your businesses in tourism and culture for the benefit of peoples of the two regions,” said the Governor of Jiangxi. “I would like to ask the appropriate authority of the Republic of Bashkortostan to help your local businesses in establishing cooperation with our businesses to achieve fruitful results. Some specific projects are already launched, so I ask the Government of Bashkortostan to support them.”

Among the major projects Lu Xinsheng named creation of factories for medications production and assembly of tractors, construction of the international trade centre in Ufa and a joint construction of a vegetable farm.

Rustem Khamitov has supported the idea of his Chinese colleague to open a representative office of Jiangxi in Bashkortostan and the same representative office of our republic in Jiangxi for strengthening trade-economic and humanitarian cooperation.

The People's Republic of China is on the fifth place among the countries - trade partners of Bashkortostan with a relative share of 4.8%. The amount of the national foreign trade turnover with China in 2014 amounted to 685.1 million dollars, with 79% of this amount (541.5 million dollars) accounted for export.

Among exported from Bashkortostan to China products are turbojet engines (49%), oil and oil products (26%), chemical products (15%), helicopters (9%), sulfur, honey and other goods. The main imports positions are different equipment (54%) - valves, trucks, pumps, casting machines, electrical equipment; as well as plastics and products made of them (18%), other chemical products (9%), metal products (6%) - drill pipes, pipes for oil and gas pipelines; canned fruit and vegetables (6%), textiles, footwear and other products.
