Bashkortostan and Crimean parliaments agreed on cooperation

The parliaments of Bashkortostan and the Republic of Crimea entered into an Agreement on Cooperation in the field of legislation on Friday, October 9. The event took place in Ufa in the framework of the official visit of the Crimean State Council delegation headed by the Parliament Speaker Vladimir Konstantinov.

The Chairman of the State Assembly of Bashkortostan Konstantin Tolkachev marked that the signing of the Agreement was a significant event to go down in the history of parliament development.

Vladimir Konstantinov underlined that the Agreement will be an impetus for closer cooperation not only in legislative activity, but also in cultural and economic spheres. He noted that the Bashkortostan Parliament had already made a worthy contribution to the process of integration of the new entity in the Russian legal system. There were developed proposals for its adaptation to legal, political, economic, social and financial systems of Russia. At the request of the Crimean parliament the legal department of the Secretariat of the State Assembly RB analyzed the existing and adopted legal acts. In addition, in 2014 the republican deputies sent humanitarian aid to the sponsored by Bashkortostan Belogorsk region of Crimea.

According to the Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea, despite the fact that the Crimean parliament is still studying the federal law, they have two legislative initiatives. These new laws will be discussed with the republican parliament during the current visit.
