Rustem Khamitov met with President of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Atambaev

On September 21, in Bishkek a meeting of the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Atambaev was held. They discussed issues of expansion of cooperation in economic, cultural and educational fields between Bashkortostan and the regions of Kyrgyzstan.
Almazbek Atambaev said that the close cooperation between the regions of the two countries is a priority of multifaceted Russian-Kyrgyz cooperation, especially in the context of accession to the Eurasian Economic Union.
Rustem Khamitov invited the business community of Kyrgyzstan to participate in the first forum of small businesses of the regions of the SCO and BRICS member-states, which will be held in Ufa in October. The Head of the Republic also proposed to hold the next Kyrgyz-Russian inter-regional conference in 2016 in the capital of Bashkortostan. The President of Kyrgyzstan supported the proposal.
At the end of 2014 the trade turnover between Bashkortostan and Kyrgyzstan amounted to $ 132.2 million, including export - $ 132 million, import - $ 0.2 million. The Kyrgyz Republic takes the 20th place with a specific weight of 0.9% in the total foreign trade turnover of Bashkortostan. Bashkortostan exports oil products to Kyrgyzstan (92.5% of total exports), as well as products of chemical, metallurgical and food industries; Kyrgyzstan supplies bulbs to Bashkortostan.
In the territory of the republic there are four companies with participation of the Kyrgyz capital, engaged in the wholesale trade and cargo transportation.
