Ufa residents accomplished Sofyushkina Alley

UFA, 21 September 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. In Ufa a cleaning campaign on Sofyushkina Alley was held. The event was organized as part of a citywide environmental clean-up and preparation for the 25th International Aksakov Festival.

Employees of the Secretariat of the Ufa City Council, and the city administration, as well as members of the Youth Public Chamber of the City Council participated in the clean-up.

The Alley is named in honour of Sophia Aksakova - the wife of the first governor of Ufa - Gregory Aksakov. Due to Sophia Aksakova the alley was laid in the 60s of the 19th century along Voskresenskaya Street and Sluchevsky Alley. It goes from the Memorial House - S.T.Aksakov Museum to the Ministry of Health RB. The Alley is one of the attractions of Ufa directly related to the Aksakov family.

As explained in the press service of the City Council, costumed street parties, literary and folk festival "Revived Pages of Favourite Books" will be held there on September 25.
