Rustem Khamitov and Rustam Minnikhanov met in Kazan

On September 2 in Kazan a meeting of the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov and the Acting President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov was held. The sides discussed the ways of further strengthening cooperation between the regions, as well as prospects for cooperation between enterprises of the petrochemical industry.

“Today, at present state our oil production actually requires a radical revision in terms of modern technology application to increase oil production, oil recovery factors and hard to recover reserves exploitation. Without this we would not have further development “,said Rustem Khamitov. “It will be very difficult for Tatarstan alone or Tatarstan enterprises to solve this problem, but together we can achieve a completely different result.”

“It is very important to maintain the cluster that was created in the Soviet era, and today it works, but it is our task to expand its potential”, said Rustam Minnikhanov. “As you said, Bashneft and Tatneft are surviving the most complex, the late stage of oil production, and only advanced technology will allow us being competitive. In addition, we have many areas of cooperation in terms of engineering, there are junctions and in other areas.”
