Rustem Khamitov told reporters about outcome of Summits held in Ufa and his five-year leadership in the republic

Yesterday at a press conference in Ufa, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov told about the results of International Summits SCO and BRICS in Ufa. The Head of the Republic said that the organization of the Summits in Ufa had been highly estimated by the leadership of our country. According to Rustem Khamitov, leaving Ufa, the Russian President Vladimir Putin thanked all citizens of the republic. "This is the best estimation for us", the Head of the Region said. He noted that in preparation for the Summits "Bashkiria played as part of the Russian team" and told about the financing of the Congress Hall, Ufa International Airport and other facilities construction. Only in the construction of hotels 11.5 billion rubles of private investment have been attracted. In the future, the Congress Hall will be able to host other major international events to be held in the republic this autumn and in 2016. Excursions over sights of past Summits can be carried out there. Total Ufa was attended by 10.5 thousand guests in the days of the Summits.

Rustem Khamitov has summed up the results of his activity as the Head of the Republic - this year its five years since he took this responsible public post. Among the main achievements of these years, he named the SCO and the BRICS Summits in Ufa. According to the Head of the Region, it was he who proposed Ufa as a venue for these events.

Another important achievement during his tenure as the Head of the Region Rustem Khamitov named the return of stake in Bashneft to state ownership. He recalled that dividends of about five billion rubles, which would be received by Bashkortostan, to be spent on social needs.

The Head of the Region also mentioned a tragedy in Omsk, where as a result of the collapse of the barracks at the Airborne training centre 23 conscripts had been killed, including the five - from Bashkortostan. Rustem Khamitov said that the families of all conscripts from our republic would be provided with all necessary assistance.

Rustem Khamitov also announced that he had no plans to leave his post early, even if he receives an attractive offer after successful organization of the SCO and BRICS Summits in Ufa.
