Project combining benefits of European and Chinese medicine within the SCO is announced in Ufa

It is planned to implement a project in the health sector, which will be based on combining the principles of traditional Chinese and Western medical techniques in the territory of the SCO member states. This was stated by the SCO Secretary General Dmitry Mezentsev at a briefing in Ufa on Friday.

According to Dmitry Mezentsev, the synthesis of two different approaches should work "to improve the capacity of joint emergency response and disaster relief operations of our countries". The mechanisms of "combining possible efforts to respond to man-made disasters, natural disasters and epidemics" are regularly drilled by ministries of emergencies of the SCO member-states, the SCO Secretary General added.
