Valentina Matvienko: "Bashkortostan showed how to worthily represent the republic, to represent our country"

UFA, 9 July 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Alim Faizov/. At the meeting of the Federation Council, the Head of Upper House of the Russian Parliament, Valentina Matvienko appraised highly the preparations for the SCO and BRICS International Summits in Ufa.

"All of us see, especially on television, how Ufa has been changing, how beautiful, wonderful, modern city with a modern infrastructure it has become. This, of course, is a result of efforts of the Head of the Republic, the people of Bashkortostan supported by the President of the Russian Federation. A tremendous job was done. And we have a feeling of pride that Russia hosts such two major international events. They are held in the territory of one of our subjects - in Bashkortostan, which showed how these opportunities can be used, how to prepare, to worthily represent the republic, to represent our country. Thus, we express deep gratitude to all Bashkortostan inhabitants from the Federation Council", Valentina Matvienko said.
