Main events of the BRICS Summit begin in Ufa

UFA, 9 July 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. Today in Ufa major activities of the Summit are planned, including a meeting with representatives of trade unions and the BRICS Business Council. According to TASS, the program includes two sessions of the Summit - in a narrow and expanded format, thus a narrow format meeting will begin as a working breakfast. At breakfast the heads of states will discuss the most pressing global issues, including the situation in Ukraine, Greece and combating the "Islamic State" terrorist group.

During the talks the leaders of the "five" countries plan to discuss opportunities for strengthening the industrial, technological and financial cooperation, working on the launch of a New Development Bank and pool of contingent currency reserves of the BRICS.

Yesterday a series of bilateral meetings of Heads of State and talks at an informal dinner in Ufa took place.

The meeting in the extended format to be completed with a signing ceremony of bilateral documents, including Ufa Declaration and Plan of Action. The declaration will assess the current global political and economic situation.
