Dilma Rousseff, President of Brazil arrived in Ufa

UFA, 9 July 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Alim Faizov/. On July 8, the President of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Dilma Rousseff arrived in Bashkortostan. At the Ufa airport she was met by Head of the Republic Rustem Khamitov, the press service of the head of the region informs.

In the capital of Bashkortostan Dilma Rousseff will attend the Summit of Heads of State and Governments of the BRICS countries.

Brazil is on the 45th place among the countries - trade partners of Bashkortostan with a relative share of 0.1 percent. The foreign trade turnover with Brazil in 2014 amounted to 17.6 million dollars, and 97% of this amount ($ 17.1 million) is accounted for export.

Among the main items of exports to Brazil from Bashkortostan are chemical products, as well as unrefined sulfur and safety valves. The import includes sporting guns, ferrous metals and engineering products.

A joint venture of JSC "KAMAZ" and the Brazilian Group Marcopolo SA - LLC "KAMAZ-Marco" operates in the territory of the republic on the basis of the Neftekamsk car factory. Since 2012 it produces passenger buses "Bravia". By 2016 it is planned to reach full capacity - about 3 thousand buses a year.
