Vladimir Putin is leaving for Ufa to participate in the SCO and BRICS summits

UFA, 8 July 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. The Russian President Vladimir Putin is leaving for Ufa, where in the next three days the SCO and BRICS Summits will be held, TASS reports. The events of the BRICS Summit will be opened today, July 8. In the evening, an informal dinner of leaders will be held.

On July 9, the leaders will meet with representatives of trade unions and members of the BRICS Business Council. After that, the heads of states will gather in a narrow format. A part of this meeting will be held as a working breakfast. During lunch, leaders will discuss the situation in Ukraine, Greece and combating the "Islamic State" terrorist group.

Then a meeting in an expanded format and a ceremony of signing documents will be carried out. The Russian President will sum up the Summit and hold several bilateral meetings. The same day there will be an informal meeting of the leaders of the BRICS, SCO and EEU, as well as a reception in honour of the BRICS participants.

Following the Summits it is scheduled to sign an Ufa Declaration and a Plan of Action. At the initiative of the Russian Federation a strategy of BRICS economic partnership till 2020 will be adopted.
