President of South Africa Jacob Zuma arrived in Ufa

UFA, 7 July 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Sergey Zakharov/. On July 7, the President of South Africa Jacob Zuma and his wife arrived in Bashkortostan. At the Ufa Airport he was met by the Head of the Republic Rustem Khamitov. In the capital of Bashkortostan Jacob Zuma will attend the Summit of Heads of States and Governments of the BRICS countries, the press service of the Head of the Region informs.

The volume of foreign trade turnover of Bashkortostan with South Africa was $ 53.4 thousand in 2014. 83% of this amount ($ 44.4 thousand) is accounted for export. The maximum volume of trade ($ 7.9 million) was achieved in 2012, when the republic delivered a large batch of grain to RSA.

Among products exported from Bashkortostan to South Africa there is technical Agidol and suspension dampers. The main import positions are liquors, chemical binders, and parts of filter elements.

A joint project of Bashkir Nefaz Company and the South African Bell Equipment Company on production of Bell heavy trucks is launched in the territory of our republic. Currently, the first test samples are produced. It is planned to test the truck at one of the quarries of the republic.
