Subsistence level is set to 9662 rubles in Russia

UFA, 5 June 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. The minimum subsistence level in Russia as a whole for the first quarter 2015 is set at 9662 rubles per capita, for able-bodied population - 10 404 rubles, pensioners - 7916 rubles, children - 9489 rubles. The corresponding decree is signed by the Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
The minimum subsistence level per capita increased by 17.1% for the able-bodied population, 16.7% - for pensioners, 20.1% - for children in the first quarter of 2015 in comparison with 4th quarter of 2014.
The Federal law provides a separate procedure for determining the size of the federal social surcharge to pension on the basis of the subsistence minimum for pensioners, established by the federal law on the federal budget for the financial year and the planned period. The federal budget has a set value of the subsistence level in the amount of 7161 rubles for the Russian Federation to determine the size of the federal social surcharge to the pensions for 2015.
In accordance with Federal law the minimum subsistence level per capita and by the main socio-demographic groups nationwide is determined quarterly on the basis of the consumer basket and Federal State Statistics Service data on consumer food prices and consumer price index for food and non-food products and services.
