Package of documents for the SCO Summit in Ufa is agreed - Sergey Lavrov

UFA, 4 June 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. The foreign ministers of SCO countries agreed on a package of documents to be submitted to the leaders at the Summit of the organization in Ufa on July 8-10. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the statement of the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

It relates to the comprehensive strategy of the SCO development until 2025. Another important document is devoted to the 70th anniversary of the Victory in World War II. Its project, according to Lavrov, will also be presented to the SCO leaders.

"The SCO program to combat terrorism, separatism and extremism for 2016-2018 will have an increasing importance for the effectiveness of our cooperation in the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in the light of threats that arise in our region and near its borders. Separately, a draft statement on combating drug trafficking is prepared for approval by heads of the states", the Russian Foreign Minister said.

The ministers signed the SCO Development Strategy until 2025, the program of cooperation of states in combating terrorism, separatism and extremism for 2016-2018, the agreement on cooperation and interaction of the SCO on border issues.
