Rustem Khamitov met with the Ambassador of Denmark in Russia Thomas Winkler

UFA, 3 June 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Iliya Spiridonov/. On June 2, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov met with the delegation of official and business circles of Denmark headed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Denmark to the Russian Federation Thomas Winkler at the House of Government RB. The parties discussed prospects of industrial, trade and economic cooperation, interaction in the field of agriculture.
“Currently a modern legal framework has been formed. We removed all administrative barriers and create good, comfortable atmosphere for work. For example, the Danish company "Danfoss" from year to year has been growing steadily in our republic,” the Head of Bashkortostan said.
According to Rustem Khamitov, the republic is interested in localization of production in its territory and is ready to provide the best conditions for potential investors.
“Now we begin a large-scale work in modernization of agriculture. Our businessmen bought pigs, farms equipment in Denmark. We hope that this work will continue. I would like to invite Danish businessmen to take part in it. It will be a long-term, major work. We will attract sound funds there”, the Head of Bashkortostan marked. “We will continue working on formation of the chemical cluster of our republic. Of course, pharmaceuticals, energy sector, environmental issues and many other things will be also developed. Business representatives from these sectors are present at this meeting. The Republic of Bashkortostan is a very good choice in terms of investments making.”
“For half of the day that we spent in Ufa, it made a lasting impression on us. This is in addition to the people, in addition to what we see around us, in addition to the work that was conducted by your government”, Thomas Winkler said. “All the meetings that took place today were focused on getting the ultimate outcome. They touched on specific issues and besides the overall positive impression formed a basis for our future work and cooperation.”
The volume of foreign trade turnover of Bashkortostan with the Kingdom of Denmark amounted to 84.5 million dollars in 2014. 87 percent of this amount (73.5 million dollars) was accounted for export, 13 percent( 11 million dollars) - for import.
Fuel oil, oilcake (animal feed), rye and plywood are among the products exported from Bashkortostan to Denmark. The main positions of import are chemical products, miscellaneous equipment (power plants, equipment for cleaning and drying bottles, centrifugal pumps, machines for cleaning and grading of grain, machinery for making animal feed, grain, valves), products from ferrous metals, cattle, beverages and other products.
Seven companies with participation of the Danish capital operating in management of financial and industrial groups, in the field of financial intermediation, logging and wood processing, as well as construction are registered in the territory of our republic.
