Zugura Rakhmatullina: "The strength of our country is in national peace and civil accord"

The Chairwoman of the Assembly of the Peoples of Bashkortostan Republic Zugura Rakhmatullina met with the President of the Assembly of Peoples of Russia Svetlana Smirnova. During the meeting the parties discussed prospects and directions of joint activities aimed at strengthening intercultural dialogue and national reconciliation in the region and in the country, particularly topical in modern geopolitical conditions.

Svetlana Smirnova highlighted the current socio-cultural situation in the republic, favourable for the development of ethnic cultures and national languages and fruitful work of the House of Peoples Friendship of Bashkortostan in this direction. The Assembly of the Peoples of Bashkortostan should intensify its activities and exploit its potential in consolidating the implementation of the national policy of the country, Svetlana Skvortsova marked.

Zugura Rakhmatullina stressed the fact that the strength of our country was in unity and interethnic accord and the republic made its worthy contribution to national peace and accord, and handed over Svetlana Smirnova Bashkir souvenirs and booklets telling about varied cultural life in Bashkortostan.
