Rustem Khamitov has held a government session of Bashkortostan

UFA, 13 May 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Iliya Spiridonov/. On May 13, the head of Ufa in Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov held a meeting of the Government of the Republic. It discussed the course of realization of priority investment projects in forest development, the outcome of approved business plans developed by state unitary enterprises and economic entities with the participation of the republic, as well as the results of work to protect the interests of Bashkortostan while legal proceedings.

The head of the region noted that in recent years it was managed to stabilize the situation in the forest industry. The total volume of investments in investment projects exceeded three billion rubles. New wood processing enterprises in Beloretsk district were opened, Ufa plywood plant facilities were extended and modernized, more than 600 new jobs were created.

Currently in the republic more than 30 such projects with a total investment of over 50 billion rubles and creation of 3.5 thousand new jobs are being implemented. Three of them were included in the federal list of priority investment projects in this area.

“According to the forecast by the end of this year the volume of timber industry output of the Republic of Bashkortostan will increase by 1.6 times, which will provide tax receipts worth more than 400 million rubles a year”, Alexey Karpuhin, the Minister of Industry and Innovation Policy of Bashkortostan said.

He also reported about the new wood processing cluster to be created in the republic.

“It is scheduled to sign an agreement with the St. Petersburg Commodity Exchange on opening of its branch in Bashkortostan for the establishing the first stage of timber yard at the forum "Big Chemistry" in Ufa on May 21, " the Minister said. Rustem Khamitov instructed relevant ministries to re-assess a contractual relationship with the leaseholders of forest plots, and make proposals on the creation of timber yard and timber cluster to the draft resolution of the Government of the Republic.

The results of the approval of business plans developed by state unitary enterprises and economic entities with the participation of the republic were discussed at the meeting. The head of Bashkortostan stressed that the state unitary enterprises’ activity should be intensified.
