It is expected to adopt SCO Development Strategy up to 2025 in Ufa

UFA, 11 March 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arthur Basyrov/. In the capital of Bashkortostan it is expected to adopt a development strategy of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization up to 2025. According to the Secretary General of the SCO Dmitry Mezentsev, it will be a claim for the greater involvement of the organization in international politics, TASS reports.

“The strategy is a document that has been discussed as a project for six months already and prepared by the Russian party. It is assumed that at the Summit in Ufa the document will be adopted with a forecast for 10 years. We consider the document as a large-scale development strategy and standing of the SCO. But in a sense, the SCO strategy is a weighty claim for another, more meaningful participation in the international policy and other macro-regional positioning,” Dmitry Mezentsev said at a press conference in Khanty-Mansiysk.

The SCO Summit will be held in Ufa in July. To date, members of the organization are Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
