Rustem Khamitov met with the Ambassador of Turkey Ümit Yardim

On January 26, in the House of the Republic Rustem Khamitov held a meeting with Ümit Yardim, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to the Russian Federation. The Ambassador conveyed an official invitation of the governor of Ankara to the Head of Bashkortostan.

"As far as we know, in the last 10-15 years there were no visits to Turkey at the level of the head of the republic. We are honoured to invite you in Turkey at any time convenient for you. This visit will make a significant contribution to the development of our relations. If you consider it necessary you can include representatives of the Chamber of Commerce RB, entrepreneurs and businessmen in the delegation. Also we can arrange visits and in other cities of Turkey", he said.

Umit Yardym invited Rustem Khamitov to visit the Turkish Embassy in Moscow, "where a presentation of the republic can be held with attendance of Turkish entrepreneurs, builders, representatives of other spheres. If there are any questions in the context of the SCO Summit and the preparatory work, they can also be considered”, the Ambassador of Turkey offered.

Rustem Khamitov welcomed the idea of strengthening business cooperation. "The trade turnover between Bashkortostan and Turkey reached $ 300 million last year. Joint ventures and projects are operating. Turkish builders erected the clinic "Mother and Child", work at the facilities being built for the SCO and BRICS Summits. In the field of trade and economic relations mutually beneficial cooperation is carried out in the field of construction, petrochemicals, machinery, agriculture, light industry and food industry, trade and business. Humanitarian cooperation has always been at a very high level. We communicate very close, and this dialogue will be continued", Rustem Khamitov said.
