Rustem Khamitov attended a meeting of the Council on Civil and Patriotic Education

UFA, 19 December 2014. /Bashinform News Agency/. On December 19, in Kazan the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov attended a meeting of the Council under the Plenipotentiary Presidential Envoy to the Volga Federal District (PFO), during which the issues of civil and patriotic education and pre-conscription training in the regions of the Volga Federal District were considered. It was attended by regional leaders, deputies of the State Duma and Federation Council members, heads of relevant federal agencies, as well as representatives of the Youth Council of the Volga Federal District, the press service of the republic.
The Presidential Envoy Mikhail Babich said that the topic of patriotic education of youth was pressing, especially given the fact that it was previously neglected. To compensate for the lag, military-patriotic centres, military-sports camps, large-scale projects in this direction are created across the country. In preparation for the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, work on perpetuating the memory of heroes, on solving social problems of veterans is intensified.
The Plenipotentiary Presidential Envoy to the Volga Federal District thanked the heads of regions for their active and quality work in this direction.
As the President of Bashkortostan marked, civil and patriotic education of youth - "is a very important and large topic. It depends very much on how we will work with young people and how we will form their outlook".
In Bashkortostan civil-patriotic education is coordinated by the Interagency Coordinating Council on patriotic education and pre-conscription training of citizens under the Government of the Republic. In 2012, the Centre of patriotic education and pre-conscription training of young people was conducted.
The amount of funding of this work from various sources amounted to 95.3 million rubles in 2014, including 44 million rubles spent on implementation of the regional plan of preparation for the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The Bashkir Cadet School named after A.V. Dostovalov, Ufa boarding school with initial pilot training, eight cadet classes with an enrollment of 1,958 children operate in the republic. Also in Bashkortostan 1048 activity clubs, patriotic associations and 106 military-patriotic clubs were organized, which involved 7813 pupils.
