"Zemsky Doctor" program will be continued in 2015

UFA, 17 November 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. It is planned to continue implementation of the "Zemsky Doctor" (Rural Doctor) program in 2015. The State Duma adopted in the second reading the draft federal law "On the budget of the Federal Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund for 2015 and the planning period of 2016 and 2017". The program provides lump sum compensation payments in the amount of one million rubles to young professionals wishing to work in rural areas.
“At the initiative of the "United Russia" party the age of health workers to receive compensation payments will be increased to 45 years,” the member of the Committee on Public Health Saliya Murzabaeva said. “For these purposes 3.2 billion rubles will be allocated in 2015, which will draw more than six thousand medical workers to villages and settlements. Corresponding amendments are already made to the Federal Law No.326-FZ "On Compulsory Health Insurance in the Russian Federation".
Recall that in 2012 and 2013, the "Zemsky Doctor" program attracted 12,000 young doctors under 35 years to work and live in rural areas. In 2014, another six thousand specialists will start to work as part of this program.
