Rustem Khamitov: "I have only local foods in my fridge"

UFA, 14 November 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Iliya Spiridonov/. The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov in everyday life gives preference to local foods. He said this in his interview to the federal newspaper "Selskaya Zhizn" (Rural Life).

According to Rustem Khamitov, the adjective "Bashkir" became a brand long time ago.

“Bashkir product - means quality product. People buy it with great pleasure. For example, during the Olympic Games in Sochi both athletes and guests appreciated our honey and Belebey cheeses. And future cosmonauts drink our famous "Travy Bashkirii" – herbal decoctions and infusions. Honey is actively exported around the world - the USA, France, Japan, China, and even Kuwait. Now talks with Emirates are held. Last week a Bashkir honey store was opened in China,” the President of the republic said.

Rustem Khamitov is sure that the republican farmers managed to achieve the main thing - today their products are one of the best. This is confirmed by high demand of consumers and evaluation of experts.
