On October 29, the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov met with the head of the Rosobrnadzor (Federal Agency for Supervision in Education and Science) Sergey Kravtsov. During the meeting the parties discussed a problem of raising the quality of education, as well as results and prospects of the Unified State Exam (EGE) in the republic.
“It is very important for us to display utmost honesty in conducting examinations. And we have all preconditions for that,” Rustem Khamitov said.
The head of Rosobrnadzor Sergey Kravtsov praised the work carried out in the republic on improving the quality of education.
“In 2014 the Unified State Exam was conducted the most objectively and honestly in the Republic of Bashkortostan. It is the merit of the President, the Minister of Education RB, all organizers of the Exam. This enables honestly learning children to take the exam honestly and enter higher education institutions.”
According to the head of the federal agency yesterday for the first time in the Russian Federation a national survey of education quality in Mathematics was conducted among 5-7th graders, in which more than 70 regions, 500 schools and 65,000 children took part. In the future it is planned to conduct similar surveys in Russian language and Informatics.
Recall that in the Republic of Bashkortostan in 2014 more than 23 thousand students took EGE, and 590 students took it during the additional period. Among them there were 22.2 thousand high school graduates and 800 graduates of secondary vocational education, as well as graduates of previous years. According to the results of EGE a decrease in average score at all subjects was marked, as well as an increase in the ratio of students who received poor results. 139 school graduates did not receive certificates of secondary general education in 2014.
