United Russia announced primaries for the elections of the head of Bashkiria

The United Russia party has announced a preliminary internal party vote to define the future nominees for the post of Bashkortostan head.

Application forms for participation in preliminary internal party voting - primaries – should be submitted to the Regional Executive Committee of the party before 18.00 June 9, 2014. Nominations of candidates of preliminary internal party voting submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

As the representatives of the regional branch of the party explain, the following bodies have the right to nominate candidates for preliminary internal party voting: public associations; citizens of the Russian Federation through self-nomination not being members of other political parties, having eligibility to vote in the elections of the supreme official of the Russian Federation. A self-nominated citizen who is not a member of the United Russia must be supported by at least 10 members of the party registered in the appropriate regional department.
