Working group of the SCO and BRICS Organizing Committee estimated construction progress of infrastructure facilities in Ufa

The working group of the Organizing Committee on preparation and chairmanship of the Russian Federation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in 2014-2015 and consolidation of BRICS in 2015, headed by the Advisor to the President of Russia, head of the secretariat of the Organizing Committee Anton Kobiakov inspected the construction progress of infrastructure facilities in Ufa. Currently, work is being conducted on 10 sites. Five new hotels are being built, the Congress Hall, the Nesterov Museum, Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre, "Neftyanik" recreation centre and Ufa International Airport are going through renovation.
Following the results of the objects inspection Anton Kobyakov said that in general he was satisfied with republican preparations to hold the Summits.
He named the Summits hosting as one of the major events in the republic in 2015.
“Much work is being done at the airport. This is a major achievement of the republican authorities that they managed to transfer the money from the upcoming years to 2014-2015 that allowed conducting works for the Summits. Of course, there are some issues that have not been resolved yet – namely a checkpoint in the new terminal under construction. I think these issues will be jointly addressed, as well as the republican authorities coped with the problem of the White River Quay. I hope it will be a resting area of Ufa residents and guests of the city. Much work is underway regarding the construction of hotels. In general, none of the regions in the country managed to conduct construction at ten sites at once. Ufa does it. And not all hotels will be demanded by the Organizing Committee for the Summits. We assume that the remaining hotels will welcome guests of SCO Business Summit and Banking BRICS Summit”, Anton Kobyakov said.
