Rustem Khamitov told about Ufa preparation for the SCO Summit-2015 at SPIEF panel session

The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov participated in a plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum "Sustaining Confidence In A World Undergoing Transformation". The session was chaired by the Russian President Vladimir Putin. Then the head of Bashkortostan spoke at the panel session "The Shanghai Cooperation Organization as a Potential Economic Platform", the press service of the President RB informs.
The session was attended by delegations from the SCO countries. The largest was the Chinese delegation headed by Vice-President of the People's Republic of China Li Yuanchao.
Li Yuanchao stressed in his speech that the SCO member states must "develop Shanghai spirit of equality, increase economic cooperation and strengthen interaction in the field of international security".
The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov told the participants of the panel session about our republic, its major industrial competencies and agriculture. Also the head of the republic provided information about interregional cooperation of Bashkortostan with the countries of Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
“Much work is conducted with the regions of the People's Republic of China. An agreement with the province of Jiangxi is signed. In addition, we have an agreement with the province of Liaoning”, Khamitov said. “Besides we cooperate with the regions of Kazakhstan and we have the corresponding agreements with them.”
According to Rustem Khamitov, the preparations to welcoming SCO delegations in Ufa in summer 2015 "proceed according to the plan, in accordance with the schedules that are defined at the level of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation".
