May Presidential Decrees are executed almost by a hundred percent in Bashkortostan - head of the region
“Bashkortostan is one of the few regions where May Presidential Decrees are executed almost by a hundred percent. Wages are increasing at the pace and even slightly above as defined by the decrees; kindergartens, schools are being built,” the President of Bashkortostan said at a seminar - meeting with the chairmen of election commissions of the subjects included in the Volga and Ural Federal Districts. “All this is beneficial to our demographics. About 60 thousand children were born in the republic.”
The President noted that the mortality rate in the region was still high. This problem is a matter to further work, including through modernization of the health care system.
Rustem Khamitov briefed participants of the two-day forum with the socio-political economic situation in the republic. The head of the republic spoke in detail about the development of the industry. In the first quarter the industry experienced a slight decline however performance indexes of the region were higher than the national average.
“New housing commissioning has good indexes. In 2013, we won the first place in the Volga Federal District. About 2.5 million square meters of housing were put into operation – this is a considerable figure,” the head of the republic said.
The meeting summed up the investment growth. Last year investment resources increased by eight percent, having reached almost 270 billion rubles. This is the tenth position in the country.
Rustem Khamitov said that next year major International SCO and BRICS Summits would be held in Ufa. The preparation for them is in full swing but considering the current economic realities.
