Rustem Khamitov: "The decision on accession of Crimea and Sevastopol to Russia opens a new page in the Russian statehood development"

The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov commented on Crimea and Sevastopol joining the Russian Federation.

"Today we witness a historic event - the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol became a part of the Russian Federation as its independent subjects. And thousands of people in Bashkortostan certainly support this decision".

"A decision on the entry of Crimea and Sevastopol into Russia opens a new page in the Russian statehood development. The President of the country in his speech very clearly answered all the questions on this subject, including those arising from political opponents of Russia. All representatives of governors unanimously supported every word he said. We enthusiastically perceive the decision on accession of Crimea and Sevastopol to the Russian Federation and we are ready to continue actively our assistance to fellow citizens while normal life establishing on the returned territory of Russia".
