Rustem Khamitov made a report at the meeting devoted to Bashkortostan judicial system work

The Supreme Court of Bashkortostan held a meeting on results of the republican judicial system work in 2013. The President RB Rustem Khamitov took part in the meeting. Addressing the participants of the meeting, he said that the leadership of the region had set a task to enter the top ten of Russian regions in quality of life. Law enforcement bodies and judicial community should work better to attain this goal.

“We won’t have strong government, economics, and politics, and everything from which human life depends on without law, order and justice. We live in a successful country, a successful republic. We are among the top ten regions of the country in many respects. But in terms of social indicators, especially per capita, we occupied 50-60-70th positions. Today we are on the 63rd place.

We began to develop, step by step. Today we completely - by 99.1 percent fulfill our social obligations. The republican budget by 73 percent is socially oriented. Ten years ago this figure was 30-40 percent.

We provide social protection for low-income families with many children, the elderly people. We have good progress in construction of hospitals, sports complexes, swimming pools. We achieved some results - you know for sure that there are Ufa residents among gold medalists of the Winter Olympics.”

The President recalled that the republican budget had deficit: in 2013 expenditures totaled 171 billion rubles while revenues amounted to 154 billion rubles.

An important indicator of life quality is level of protection from crime and drug-aggression, ie indicators of quality of law enforcement bodies and judicial system work. Rustem Khamitov urged Bashkir judges to be more responsible in executing their duties.

The President named as promising a practice of pre-court settlement of disputes. Lawyers study mediation, a conciliation technologies agency appeared.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary of the Interdepartmental Council of Public Safety RB Ramil Iskuzhin, the Chief Federal Inspector Peter Kapishnikov, heads of regional departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, FSB, Investigative Committee RF, Drug Control Service, federal penitentiary bodies and bailiffs, the Prosecutor’s Office of the republic.
