A draft law to rename the post of the President of Bashkortostan is adopted in the second reading

Bashkortostan parliamentarians approved in the second reading a bill to rename the post of the highest official of the republic. It is offered to officially name the leader of the region "The Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan". The decision is adopted at the plenary session of the State Assembly - Kurultay RB.

During the work on the bill 14 amendments were introduced, two of them – by the Prosecutor's Office RB. A part of the amendments was rejected.

The draft law "On amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Bashkortostan", according to which the position of the head of the region will be renamed, is adopted at the plenary meeting of the republican parliament in the first reading by the majority of votes on December26. The initiative was brought by to the Chairman of the Constitutional Court RB Luciya Gumerova. The draft law makes amendments to a number of articles of the Constitution of the republic. Among them there is renaming of the highest official of the subject of the Russian Federation in accordance with the federal law from December 28, 2010.
