Russian CEC will install automated electronic protocols sending systems at 100 polling stations in Bashkiria
In 2014, the CEC of Russia will provide 100 polling stations of Bashkortostan with new modern equipment. These are "ARM" workstations, which will send electronic protocols to the GAS "Vybory" system. This was announced by the Russian CEC Deputy Chairman Leonid Ivlev in Ufa.
“This is a pilot project of the CEC. And Republic of Bashkortostan is the first region where it is implemented,” Deputy Chairman of the Russian Central Election Commission said. “This is a new step in ensuring transparency of elections.
The new system is a special computer with necessary software. Members of precinct election commission will draw up an electronic protocol. All members of precinct election commissions, where "ARM" will be installed will receive a digital signature.
Everything will be sent simultaneously to the GAS "Vybory" system in Moscow and CEC of Bashkortostan.
Leonid Ivlev said that the project would be financed from the federal budget. Bashkortostan will teach PEC members to work with the new equipment.
