Rustem Khamitov : "An issue of raw materials to ensure soda production is still open"

“Unfortunately, an issue of providing raw materials for soda production is still open,” said the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov in his interview to the editor of the "Ufa" magazine. “Now geologic exploration is being conducted in Gafuriysky, Sterlitamaksky Ishimbaysky regions of the republic. The plant can not work without raw materials. It's obvious. It is difficult to imagine that "Soda" will stop working and about five thousand people will lose their jobs. Therefore it is necessary to look for raw materials, it is necessary to find limestone.”

At the same time the head of the republic stressed that Bashkir Soda Company (BSC) provided a major upgrade, for which "the republic will never have enough means if we refuse from the alliance with "Bashkir Chemistry". But today, Bashkir Soda Company has become the number one in production of soda ash in Europe".
